Who Am I?

Who Am I?

I am from Aurora, Illinois, and grew up with my parents, a 175 pound hound dog, five cats, and an ever changing carousel of goldfish. I completed my undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. During this time, I was also a collegiate athlete, spending as much, if not more, time on the softball field as I did in the classroom. After graduating, I returned to the Chicago suburbs to pursue an MFA in screenwriting at DePaul University.

As a writer, I am deeply passionate about showcasing women’s stories and increasing LGBTQ+ representation on screen. Growing up, LGBTQ+ representation in media played a crucial role in helping me understand my own sexuality. Ultimately, I believe queer people deserve big-budget films that represent them just as much as non-queer people are represented.

In addition to writing, I am an avid sports fan, reader, coffee drinker and music listener!
